Flocks
of cranes still bloom in the amber sky,
Your gentle song through my soul drifts by.
The sunset’s colours have slipped from view,
Yet your fragrant memories softly grew.
At twilight’s hush, the heavens spread wide,
Blue velvet skies where my dreams abide.
Upon that velvet my dreams took flight,
Vivid thrills awoke in my soul that night.
Golden footsteps grace the edge of the west,
Where day fades away into leisurely rest.
In the moon’s soft, silvery embrace,
The night curls warm in its starry place.
The moon in fullness stitched beams of light,
Silver threads through the still of night.
My heart’s peacock spread its plume,
Swaying gently in scented bloom.
