गायत्री - फक्त तुझ्यासाठी ही गज़ल

तुम को देखा तो ये खयाल आया,
जिंदगी धूप… तुम घना साया।
The moment I saw you, one thought filled my heart —
life is a harsh afternoon, and you are a cool serene shade.

जिंदगी में लोग आते और जाते रहे मेरी,
एक तुम ही थी जिसने मेरा साथ निभाया।
Many people came and went throughout my life,
but you alone stayed beside me till the end.

सोचता हूँ तक़लीफ़ों के सिवा मैंने क्या दिया तुमको,
जबकि जिंदगी का हर सुख मैंने तुमसे ही पाया।
I often wonder what I ever gave you except pain,

when every joy in my life was received from you.

मेरा वजूद गर है, तो वो आज तुमसे ही  है,
तुमने अपना वजूद भी मुझमें समाया।
If I possess any identity today, it exists because of you,
and you dissolved your own existence into mine.

मैं चाहता हूँ तुम्हें कयामत की हद तक,
शायद इससे पहले मैंने तुम्हें ये नहीं बताया।
I love you beyond the limits of eternity,
perhaps I had never truly told you this before.

मैं जानता हूँ कि तुम्हें शायद यक़ीन नहीं,
वो तुम ही हो जिसमें मैंने ख़ुद को पाया।
I know you may still find it hard to believe,
but it is within you that I finally discovered myself.

आज मै उन गुनाहों का इजहार करता हूं,
जिन्हें आज तक कभी भी मै कह न पाया।
Today, I confess those silent wrongs of mine,
the ones I could never gather the courage to speak of.
